deter\u00a0you from reading further.<\/p>\n<p>Admittedly, a &#8220;curried cauliflower&#8221; recipe didn&#8217;t\u00a0initially catch my motherly eye either.\u00a0 When you have kids, the blander the recipe the better.\u00a0 At least, that&#8217;s what we think!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Parents assume little ones fear flavor, so we keep feeding them plain pasta and they continue to ask for it (because that&#8217;s all they really know!).\u00a0 Thus the picky eating cycle begins.<\/p>\n<p>Heck, research shows that babies are exposed to flavours through amniotic fluid when they are still in mom&#8217;s tummy, so why limit their exposure now!\u00a0Give your little one a chance to explore different foods AND flavours as much as you can.\u00a0\u00a0Worst case scenario:\u00a0 you have more curried cauliflower for yourself.\u00a0\u00a0 That is, until your kids realize what they are missing.<\/p>\n<p>This traditional Indian spice gives plain ol\u2019 white cauliflower a golden glow and addictive flavor.\u00a0\u00a0 Most importantly, the curry comes with a nutritional benefit.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"copy-paste-block\"><strong>Turmeric <\/strong>is a concentrated source of curcumin, a phytonutrient that has incredible anti-inflammatory\u00a0properties and\u00a0has been shown to improve liver function.\u00a0 The added bonus for our kiddos is that\u00a0turmeric is a source of iron.\u00a0 Just 2 teaspoons of this spice will <strong>boost your child&#8217;s iron by 1.9 mg<\/strong> (getting them closer to\u00a0their daily requirement of 7-11 mg).<\/li>\n<li class=\"copy-paste-block\">\n<div class=\"copy-paste-block\">Daily consumption\u00a0of <strong>Curry Powder<\/strong> is known to boost memory (those who regularly had curry spiced dishes performed better on memory tests).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #33cccc;\">Roasted Curry Cauliflower<\/span><\/h1>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 head of cauliflower, chopped into florets (chop up the stems too!)<\/li>\n<li>2-3 Tbsp\u00a0avocado oil<\/li>\n<li>1-2 tbsp curry powder<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp cumin powder<\/li>\n<li>2-3 garlic cloves<\/li>\n<li>Few shakes of turmeric<\/li>\n<li>Few shakes of chili powder (optional)<\/li>\n<li>Sea salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Pre-heat over to 350 degree oven.<\/li>\n<li>Poor oil into a large mixing bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Add curry powder, cumin, garlic, turmeric, chili powder and a pinch of sea salt.<\/li>\n<li>Chop up head of cauliflower and add to oil mixture.\u00a0 Mix until coated.<\/li>\n<li>Spread cauliflower evenly into a baking dish or cookie sheet and bake for 40-45 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1539\" src=\"http:\/\/www.daniellebinns.com\/stagingsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Curry-Cauliflower-3-1.jpg\" alt=\"Curry Cauliflower (3)\" width=\"778\" height=\"1038\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.daniellebinns.com\/stagingsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Curry-Cauliflower-3-1.jpg 1145w, https:\/\/www.daniellebinns.com\/stagingsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Curry-Cauliflower-3-1-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.daniellebinns.com\/stagingsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Curry-Cauliflower-3-1-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.daniellebinns.com\/stagingsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Curry-Cauliflower-3-1-300x400.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.daniellebinns.com\/stagingsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Curry-Cauliflower-3-1-610x814.jpg 610w, https:\/\/www.daniellebinns.com\/stagingsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Curry-Cauliflower-3-1-1080x1440.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 778px) 100vw, 778px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Please don&#8217;t let the word &#8220;curry&#8221;
