What&#8217;s there not to love?<\/p>\n<p>Made Good has\u00a0done a <del>good<\/del> great job solving snack problems for parents\u2014it&#8217;s free of allergens (dairy, nut, peanut, egg, sesame-free, etc.), school-friendly, and healthier than most packaged snacks. With all the organic, local, grass-fed, farmer&#8217;s market products on my list, grocery bills get expensive. So, I&#8217;m trying to streamline spending a bit and cut back on the non-necessities.<\/p>\n<p>At about $5\u00a0a box, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.madegoodfoods.com\/ca\/products\/granola-bars\/\">Made Good Granola Bars<\/a>\u00a0and Minis had to go.<\/p>\n<p>As\u00a0they came off my shopping list, I started to envision\u00a0a homemade replacement and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/daniellenicosia\/videos\/10157629971920451\/\">the recipe experimentation started this weekend<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>My girls were the guinea pigs and I recorded their reaction live after their first bite of my\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Poor Moms&#8221; Made Good Granola Minis<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>recipe<\/strong>. Thankfully my eldest uttered the words &#8220;I like it mommy&#8221; (completely unsolicited and in her underwear) as I aired live in my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/1447191338904412\/1653564851600392\/?notif_t=like&amp;notif_id=1476568305467035\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">private Facebook Group for Moms<\/a>. You can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/daniellenicosia\/videos\/10157630166875451\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">watch it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This\u00a0homemade <em>Made Good Granola Bites<\/em> recipe is not an exact replica, but it&#8217;s close enough. In fact, I&#8217;d say it&#8217;s better! Softer and easier to chew with less added sugar (just 1 tablespoon of honey in 30+ minis).
