There&#8217;s only so much chilli we can eat! &#8211; Allison<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I&#8217;m on it, Allison!<\/p>\n<p>The good news is that chickpeas are versatile.\u00a0 I have no shortage of ways to used these little legumes. Because of the veggies, you can serve this as a side or main dish. Enjoy this with any sauce or dip you like such as tahini, tzatziki, garlic mayo, or hummus!<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h2>5. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delscookingtwist.com\/spiced-chickpea-sweet-potato-buddha-bowl\/\">Chickpea Sweet Potato Bowl<\/a><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.delscookingtwist.com\/spiced-chickpea-sweet-potato-buddha-bowl\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-6510 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.daniellebinns.com\/stagingsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Curry-Chickpea-and-Sweet-Potato-Buddha-Bowl_5000-2-1024x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bowls are my absolute favourite because I can pull any random leftovers out of my fridge and turn it into a meal.\u00a0 Better yet, a make-your-own dish (aka a MYOM).\u00a0 This way the kids can pick and choose from all the food groups.\u00a0 Choose a starch, veggie, and mix in some chickpeas!\u00a0 Speaking of crispy chickpeas, let&#8217;s move to the next way to use chickpeas!<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/joyfoodsunshine.com\/crunchy-roasted-chickpeas\/\">6. Crunchy Roasted Chickpeas<\/a><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/joyfoodsunshine.com\/crunchy-roasted-chickpeas\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-6549 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.daniellebinns.com\/stagingsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/2924fbfe4dac274dd693040717ced0c3.Crunchy-Roasted-Chickpeas-vegan-gluten-free-easy-1024x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d be remiss to talk about chickpeas and not share a baked chickpea recipe.\u00a0 We usually buy Good Bean or other brand of roasted chickpeas because they make the perfect snack for between meals.\u00a0 If you kids like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.daniellebinns.com\/stagingsite\/2017\/06\/healthy-crunchy-foods-for-kids\/\">crunchy foods<\/a>, roasted chickpeas are a must to try.\u00a0 You can play with the ingredients and go for some sweet (like cinnamon and coconut sugar) or salty (plain old sea salt does the trick or my favourite <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2Yity1s\">Herbamare<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>7. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.twopeasandtheirpod.com\/roasted-chickpea-avocado-toast\/\">Chickpea Avocado Toast<\/a><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.twopeasandtheirpod.com\/roasted-chickpea-avocado-toast\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6551\" src=\"http:\/\/www.daniellebinns.com\/stagingsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Roasted-Chickpea-Avocado-Toast-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Do your kids like toast?\u00a0 Do you like avocado toast?\u00a0 What about adding some chickpeas as a crunchy topping to your toast?\u00a0 \u00a0This one has creamy avocados &amp; tahini &#8211; yum yum. Needless to say, feel free to use any bread you like to prepare this recipe.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>8. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bonappetit.com\/recipe\/chickpea-pancakes-with-kale-and-fennel\">Chickpea Pancakes<\/a><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bonappetit.com\/recipe\/chickpea-pancakes-with-kale-and-fennel\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6553\" src=\"http:\/\/www.daniellebinns.com\/stagingsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/FGFP-Chickpea-Pancake-Horizontal-1024x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Oh my pancake.\u00a0 We love pancakes.\u00a0 I tend to get pretty creative with our crepes (as you&#8217;ve probably seen I love <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B91mYY-hVfA\/\">making green pancakes<\/a>).
